Each member of our family is so different, like individual components of a symphony. But, like a symphony, each part is important to the overall structure and sound of the piece. We all work together to make a beautiful sound...our family. Just as the Lord knit us together in the womb, He is now knitting us together as a family, for His glory, outside the womb.

Christmas Countdown Day 3

"And, behold, thou shalt...bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus." Luke 1:31
For today's Christmas countdown activity, we made cranberry and popcorn garland.
The kids didn't help so much with the stringing of the garland, but rather, with the eating of the popcorn.
B was a great helper, though!  Little A was the most helpful out of all the kids by handing B one piece of popcorn to string onto his garland.  Way to participate!
Onto the tree it goes!
(Thanks to MomPom for supplying the materials which offered the inspiration for this activity)

  1. Yay! When Brad was a baby, I almost burned the house down because I was making popcorn for a garland. I forgot that the oil was heating on the stove and went into the kitchen to find it, opened it (foolish) and flames rose to the ceiling and made a big black mark. Little Brad was quite astonished at all this ruckus!
I might string pom poms and bits of drinking straws soon. I like your tree very much and I LOVE those popcorn eaters!
