Some might think it's crazy to get a snow storm in April, after having sunny days with people wearing shorts and short sleeves, but...that's just Colorado!
The kids and I took advantage of playing in the snow one of those snow days. I only had energy to bundle them all up and pull them around in the snow for one day, but they would have gone out everyday, multiple times a day, if I would have let them. It is just so much work to get all their snow gear on and off.
This was Tiny A's first time in the snow. He enjoyed being pulled on our make-shift sled (a camping mat). The boys and girls took turns riding together. At first we tried using the shovel as a sled, but they kept sliding off. Maybe next year we will invest in a real sled.
When Tiny A wasn't riding on the "sled", he sat quietly in his little chair. He couldn't walk around with all that snow gear on, he kept falling forward onto his face. He even sat quietly and watched me while I shoveled and the other kids threw snowballs at me (what useful little helpers). They wanted me to bury them with the snow, though, so that was a little satisfying to throw it back at them.:)
Little A spent a lot of her time whining because a boot or glove would fall off. She wanted to stay out in the snow, though.
What a day it will be when they can all dress themselves and run and play in the snow all by themselves. Cb's is pretty much there and entertains herself pretty well, but the rest need time to catch up.
You guys are such cutie pies!
