Description

Each member of our family is so different, like individual components of a symphony. But, like a symphony, each part is important to the overall structure and sound of the piece. We all work together to make a beautiful sound...our family. Just as the Lord knit us together in the womb, He is now knitting us together as a family, for His glory, outside the womb.

4th of July

The 4th of July ended up being a nice, quiet day for us.

B set up three pools for the kids (small, medium and large).  I'd say the medium one got the most play.
We let tiny A go around the yard naked for a little while.  He REALLY enjoyed that!  I love baby tooshies!  They are just so cute!  Also, like my mom said, what is it about that baby body shape (round belly and chubby limbs) that is so cute on a baby and so unattractive on an adult?:)
D squared came over for dinner, which is always a treat!  We just love being around them.
They brought over some delicious corn to grill.  We also had some kabobs, which Pugsley got a bit sick on by licking up all the kids' food droppings.  Those Pugs have sensitive stomachs.  We also had chips and dips, beforehand, and a strawberry, watermelon and feta salad.
For dessert, I made moon pies with pop rocks in the middle.  I thought the kids would give a bigger reaction to the popping, but they just wanted more.  Tiny A really liked the pop rocks!

B and D played some music in the backyard and B serenaded us with some Patriotic tunes.
We ended our night with sparklers.  We don't stay up late enough to watch the fireworks, yet, but the kids enjoyed running around the yard with their fire.
The next day, our friend, Rose, invited the kids and I to go kayaking on Horsetooth Reservoir.  She is such a great lady!  We had so much fun at the swim beach and each kid took turns riding on the kayak.  I got to take each one out too, even tiny A.
They all had a great time.
Medium A sang "This is the Day that the Lord has Made" and "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" when she was kayaking.
Cb's got to paddle a little.
Tiny A didn't like wearing the life jacket, but he enjoyed everything else.
Just to prove that I was there.:)
Grandma had a play date with the three older ones and took them to the Discovery Museum, at Cb's request.
Afterwards, they got Blizzards and Sundaes!
Finally, daddy took the kids flying.:)
