Description

Each member of our family is so different, like individual components of a symphony. But, like a symphony, each part is important to the overall structure and sound of the piece. We all work together to make a beautiful sound...our family. Just as the Lord knit us together in the womb, He is now knitting us together as a family, for His glory, outside the womb.

Fives High!

High fives for Cadence!  She turned 5 years old last week!  It is amazing how time flies and how big she seems already.  Cadence is such an inquisitive girl.  I love that about her.
Her birthday started out with her waking up to some decorations around the house.
She got to open her presents from us, roller skates and a doll that I knit for her, and then it was off to preschool.
We made sugar cookies for her to give to her class.  Not only was it her birthday, but it was also picture day at preschool and girl's show and tell.
Here Cadence and Finn are all spiffed up for pictures.  I told Finn that he looked handsome and throughout the day he continued to ask me, "Am I still handsome?".  Yep, that's how God made you, Mr. Finn.:)
For show and tell Cadence showed her new doll that I knit.  She requested that it have pink skin and long red hair.  She wanted it to have white eyes, but I convinced her to go with brown.
After Brad got home, we picked up pizza and headed to the rec center to celebrate as a family with pizza, cake and swimming.  A great combination!  The kids enjoyed the lazy river, though Finn didn't like getting "dunked" as he called it whenever he would go under the water.
Cadence was brave and went down the big water slide all by herself!  I am amazed at how brave she has become with each year.
I just love this little girl and am so grateful, honored and proud to be her mom.
